Over 50 kids from Anta’s Kung Fu and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) class collected pledges from friends and family for Doral’s Relay for Life. The students collect $850 for Doral’s Relay for Life.
Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense one of South Florida’s largest (number of students) martial arts centers in South Florida has been changing lives in Doral since 1998. The Grand Re-Opening and Kick-A-Thon showcased the remodeling of Anta’s state of the arts facility and gave an overview of Anta’s new and exciting programs. They are currently offering Kung Fu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, Pilates, Piloxing and XFT functional fitness classes.
The climax of the Grand Opening was the kids’ kick-a-thon for charity. Over 50 kids collected pledges in an effort to find a cure for cancer and competed to win Anta Kicking Champion trophy. Winning the 4-5 year old division was Marianna Shaw, 6-7 year olds Sebastian Arriola, 8-9 years old Santiago Calderon and the 10 and up division was won by Carla Campos. Winning the person that collected the most donations trophy was Jr Black Belt, Tomas Echeverria.
