Is your child being bullied? Every year more and more children are dreading going back to school. 96% of kids will be bullied before adulthood. 46% will drop their grade point average and get low grades due to bullying. Two of the main reasons people are bullied are because of appearance and social status. Bullies pick on the people they think don't fit in, maybe because of how they look, how they act (for example, kids who are shy and withdrawn), their race or religion, or sexual preference. Yet, the bully will always pick on the kid that looks weak and has low self esteem.
Each and every year we prepare our students and our community to start the school year bully proof with our annual “Back to School Bully Busters Workshop.” I would like to invite all Doral Tribune readers and their children to this free workshop. Our Anti-Bully workshops are absolutely free. All we need is for you to call us at 305 599-3649 to reserve your spot. We will have two age appropriate workshops one for elementary age students and one for middle school and high school students. If your child is in elementary school the workshop will be on Friday, August 26. The Elementary School Anti-Bullying Workshop will educate both the parent and children on the basics of dealing with a bully. For a child to attend the workshop a parent must also attend. If your child is in middle school or high school the workshop will be on Thursday, August 25, parents can attend yet it is not mandatory.
Our mission at Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense is to ensure that every child has the right to feel safe and develop to their full potential. We are our community’s leader in Anti-Bullying. I’m the only instructor in South Florida fully certified in Dr. Terrance Webster Doyle’s Bully Busters program.
All the motivation that a child needs to succeed in school, sports, and any endeavor in life, comes from a child's confidence and self-esteem. A bully robs a child of those very important traits that can have a negative impact on the rest of their life. As parents we must provide our children with the tools they will need to succeed in life.
Do you know what bullies and those being bullied have in common? The answer is low self esteem. Both the bully and their victims have low self esteem. Most bullies are being mistreated or bullied by their parents, siblings, older kids and/or a bigger kid. The bully is a weak person with low self esteem so he/she will look for an easy target, the kid that appears weak. They enjoy hurting the victim and having power over the victim
If your child is being bullied or if he/she is a bully this workshop is for you. Call us today at 305 599-3649 to register your child for this workshop that could change their lives in a positive way.

Activities like these don't only help your child be more communicative, it also helps boost self-esteem, which is oftentimes the indicator of your child's potential to be bullied. Ultimately, self-worth would be built and encouraged by such activities.
