On Saturday, May 30, from 1 to 3PM Anta's Fitness and Self Defense, 10721 NW 58 St. Doral, will hold a Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jitsu workshop by Gracie Barra Miami head instructor Professor Daniel "Montanha" Nycz de Lime.
Gracie Jiu Jitsu became popular in the US when the Gracie family brought the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Challenge) Championships, the first MMA (mixed martial arts) challenge to Aamerica.
The Gracie Jiu Jitsu practitioners challenge and beat all contestants including Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Boxers, Jiu Jitsu, Kick Boxers, Judo, and even Sumo Wrestlers. This changed the martial arts for ever. Today mixed martial arts have evolved. To stay on top of the food chain you must be equally good standing and on the ground. All MMA fighters and UFC champions are trained in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. No matter what your goals are whether it's just getting fit, cross training, learning to defend yourself or competing in mixed martial arts this workshop is for you.
