Promise Keepers Ft Lauderdale

On June first and second I attended Promise Keepers Unleashed in Ft Lauderdale with a few men from my church Metro Life Worship Center and with my 16 year old son. This is my 4 th Promise Keepers Conference, yet the first with my son. My first Promise Keepers was in Jacksonville FL. I went with a co-worker and his church. My second Promise Keeper was in Miami at the Orange Bowl. It was a special one since I went with my father. I think that this was 1999 a few months before my father unexpectedly left with the Lord. My third Promise Keeper was also in Miami. I went with a large group of brothers from my church Metro Life Worship Center. Every time I go to the Promise Keepers Conference it is a blessing and a memorable experience. I always see friends that I have not seen in years and also I'm surprised to find old Friends that once were lost yet now they are saved at the Promise Keepers. This year wasn't any different. It was awesome seeing over 11,000 Christian Men worshiping together our all mighty God. This year since we went in a small group i was able to make new Friends from church and bond with my son Julio. It is a true blessing to have a teenager that truly loves the Lord. After we got home we celebrated his birthday which was on May 31. One of my pleasant surprises and blessings on Friday night was seeing and finding out that a good friend and martial artist that I had not seen in over 15 years was saved. The next day I saw a Friend and former training partner of my bodybuilding days that I had not seen in approximately 20 years was also a Christian. Later I saw one of my first Kung Fu students at the Promise Keepers also. I had not seen him in over 7 years. I highly recommend the Promise Keepers to everyone. It is becoming a family tradition. I went with my father, my eldest son and i can not wait to go with my youngest son in 3 or 4 years. I'm sure that my boys will then take their children and if I'm still around I'll also will be going with them to the Promise Keepers.
