Team Anta Wins at the Pan American International Martial Arts Championship

Anta's Kung Fu Team competed at the oldest and most prestigious martial arts tournament in South Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America, the 33 Annual Pan American International Martial Arts championship on November 12, at the world famous Deauville Beach Resort in South Beach. Competitors from different martial arts styles such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Kenpo, XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts), and Jiu Jitsu competed. They came from the United States and 7 other countries, England, Mexico, Bahamas, Guatemala, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Honduras to compete for top honors in forms, weapons, and sparring. Manny Reyes Sr who operates the oldest martial arts school in South Florida has been hosting this tournament for 33 years. The Pan American International Martial Arts Championships is one of the largest, oldest and most prestigious tournament in the nation.

Team Anta representing Doral against competitors from different martial arts styles did extremely well. In the 6 and 7 year old forms division first, second and the third place winners were from Anta Kung Fu. Winning first place in this international championship was Diego Ordonez, 2nd place Tomas Arango and in third place Lucas Vargas.

Team Mannatec at Anta's Fitness and Self Defense in Doral

On November 10, 2011 Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense was honored to be one of the two fortunate martial arts studios in South Florida to host a Team Mannatec workshop and demonstrations, the other is Reyes Martial Arts in Hialeah. Team Manatech competed at  the 33 Annual Pan American International Martial Arts championship on November 11 and 12 and as part of there North American tour.

 

Appearing at Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Doral and competing in the Pan American International Martial Arts Competition were Becca Ross member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame and a 25 times forms and weapons world champion, Ross Levine six time weapons and sparring world champion. Both Becca and Ross won the Grand Championships of the tournament.

Team Mannatec is touring North America teaching children the importance of nutrition and fitness.
