I am proud and excited to have my good friend and Doral resident Tony Torre conducting a Filipino Dirty Boxing workshop at my school Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Doral on Saturday, February 4, from 2 to 6 PM. Guro (Instructor in Filipino) Torre is a world renowned video author of Filipino Dirty Boxing from Paladin Press. Filipino Dirty Boxing is a reality based street defense system. Tony is a complete martial artist who follows the same philosophy that I believe in of being a student for life. Torre is an expert in the Filipino Martial Arts, he has also studied Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, boxing and grappling.
What man or women would not do whatever it takes to protect their family and loved ones from violence or crime? So, why not learn to properly defend yourself and your family? Yet, by national statistics the average black belt loses a street fight. The average martial arts class (Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu etc..) doesn’t teach you to defend yourself in a street encounter with a thug or a criminal. There is a huge difference between sport martial arts and reality based street self defense. Whether you a male or a female, never studied martial arts, you are a martial arts beginner or advance student, a black belt, MMA Fighter, military or law enforcement officer this workshop is for you. Torre draws on his extensive knowledge to give you a whole new sense of street fighting and self-defense under extreme circumstances or in a terminal situation.
Guro Tony Torre blends the traditional with the modern to form a comprehensive fighting system designed to enhance any fighter's training regimen. Steeped in the Filipino martial arts of arnis and suntukan. After acquiring a solid foundation in positioning, natural combinations, targeting, disruptions and striking, you'll move on to mechanics, joint integrity and minimization of energy leaks.
The Dirty Boxing Workshop will teach you to maximize body mechanics for power punching, natural combinations, alternative striking tools, weaponizing your defense, counter offensive strategies and street defense, hand striking considerations for armed professionals and CCW (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) holders, and knife work relative to hand striking with a healthy dosage of elbows, knees and head butts. Whether your fighting is on the mat or in the streets, Torre's training methods provide the explosive offensive and defensive tactics needed to overwhelm your opponent and come out victorious. After completing the Filipino Dirty Boxing workshop you will gain the confidence to defend your and be able to walk in peace.
The Filipino Dirty Boxing workshop will be held on February 4, at Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense, 10721 NW 58 St. Doral. For more information or to register please call 305 599-3649. To purchase Tony Torre’s Filipino Dirty Boxing log on to paladin-press.com.
